UFC Fight Fans, Look Who's Back, Brock Lesnar! Brock Lesnar Vs Mark Hunt on UFC 200
Here comes the pain… again!
After 5 years of leaving the octagon, former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar recently announced his return. Yes UFC fans, Brock is back and we will be seeing him on July 9, 2016 (July 10 here in the Philippines) at highly anticipated UFC 200.
At UFC 200, Brock Lesnar will be facing the Samoan kickboxer Mark Hunt for the co-main event. Hunt was victorious on his last two fights. He won convincingly via knockout against formidable opponents in person of Antonio Silva aka Bigfoot and Frank Mir.
Ironically for Brock Lesnar his last two fights in the octagon were disaster. Cain Velasquez stripped Brock his UFC heavyweight championship title due to technical knockout in the first round on October 23, 2010 at UFC 121. Brock was last seen at UFC 141 on December 30, 2011 wherein he was outpunched and outkicked by Alistair Overeem. The fight was ruled TKO in 2:26 of the first round.
UFC 200 will highlighted with the Light Heavyweight championship fight between the champion Daniel Cormier and the current interim UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jon Jones. To say that there is no love lost between Cormier and Jones is an understatement. This, I believe could make UFC 200 even more exciting. And with Brock Lesnar coming back, surely it doesn’t make any bigger than this.
But wait, there’s more! Women's Bantamweight champion Miesha Tate will be up against Amanda Nunes. Two former champions will be seeing action as well as José Aldo (former UFC Featherweight Champion) will be fighting against Frankie Edgar (former UFC Lightweight Champion).
Other fight cards include Cain Velasquez versus Travis Browne, Cat Zingano versus Julianna Peña, Johny Hendricks versus Kelvin Gastelum,
T.J. Dillashaw versus Raphael Assunção, and many more.
So, UFC fight fans, mark your calendar July 10, 2016. It’s the day the Brock Lesnar will return to octagon on UFC 200. And here’s UFC 200 promotional video:
Sadly, for poor Sky Cable subscriber like me, watching UFC 200 live and in HD might be too much to ask. But who knows? If the 12-year-old ukulele player and singer Grace VanderWaal believes in miracle then she get the Golden Buzzer, maybe something miraculous would also happen to Sky Cable a month from now. I will just wait and see, while praying for TV gods.
